All our quotations include to supply and erect necessary scaffolding to all heights exceeding 1.8mtrs providing a safe working platform for our fitters and to conform with health and safety laws. All Roofing waste and rubbish is removed in skips provided. Materials are shrink wrapped on pallets and delivered direct from our suppliers by crane lorry. If required we submit any necessary fees and application forms for either skip and material permit’s or building control approval. Before the tiles are laid across your roof Southern / Eastern Roofing would have completely removed the existing tiled cover, de-battened the rafters and inspected all the underline timber structure to ensure it is sound and then report back. All our Roofs are installed with an underlay to act as a second barrier which is available in either a breathable of insulation membrane. British Standard Felted System.

We provide a British standard 3 layer felted system comprising of type 3b bonding felts laid in hot bitumen and with green mineral felts to all welted drips and up stands which are chased into any adjacent brickwork to a depth of 25mm, lead wedged and pointed in sound mortar mixed 3:1 Ratio. We then apply either 1 layer of gritting solution followed by granite chipping stones or 1 coat of solar reflective paint to prevent the underline felts from the affects of ultraviolet light.

This system has a life expectancy of approximately between 10 to 15 years.

Applied to the same specifications as above but with alternative untearable polyester based bonding and incorporating high performance green mineral felts to all welted drips and up stands giving this system extra durability and a life span of approximately 20 - 25 years.

Asphalt Systems

This being the most Robust flat roof coverings we offer. A preliminary sheefing underlay is laid across the decking boards to act as a vapour barrier and prevent a build up of condensation followed by 2 layer of liquid mastic asphalt giving this system a life span of approximately 25 - 30 years. An ideal option if you have a useable balcony flat roof.

When removing your old defective flat roof system we closely inspect all the underline timbers and decking to ensure sound and report back if found defective. We also have a range of decking board and insulation systems and an option of promenade tiles to help create you flat roof area into a balcony.

We provide a unique metal and cement fibred sheeting service which caters for roofs of all shapes and sizes from communal garages to large factory warehouse outlets. Each design brings its own specifications and properties to suit your buildings individual needs.
